'Chicago Fire' Spinoff in the Works at NBC

Am gestrigen Abend hat eine Nachricht für Aufregung und Freude bei den Fans gesorgt: NBC plant ein Spinoff für Chicago Fire, wie The Hollywood Reporter bestätigte.

Die potentielle Spinoff Serie wird wie auch bei The Vampire Diaries mit einer "Backdoor"-Episode beginnen und sich auf das Polizeirevier in Chicago konzentrieren.

The network is prepping a potential spinoff of Wolf's sturdy freshman drama Chicago Fire, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The Taylor Kinney starrer about a team of Chicago firefighters and paramedics has been a solid performer on Wednesdays for the network this season. Since its modest bow in the fall, the series of late has been besting ABC's Connie Britton critical darling Nashville in its Wednesdays at 10 p.m. slot in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic. On Feb. 27 it also scored another major ratings hurdle when it outrated CBS' long-running procedural CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as well.

The potential spinoff would likely air as a back-door pilot this season, should the Wolf-produced series deliver a fitting episode that centers on the Chicago police department. Chicago Fire creators and EPs Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, EP Matt Olmstead and Wolf would oversee the Universal Television and Wolf Films project, which could see some of the first-year drama's cast transfer as well.

The potential Chicago Fire spinoff becomes the latest back-door pilot this season, joining The Vampire Diaries' The Originals, which airs in April; and CBS' NCIS: LA entry, NCIS: Red, which aired this month.

For his part, Wolf is no stranger to spinoffs. The Law & Order mastermind successfully spun two series off the legal procedural in the long-running Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: CI. Additionally, Wolf is also on board to executive produce a half-hour comedy pilot for NBC -- Girlfriend in a Coma, which is currently testing actresses to replace Christina Ricci in the Liz Brixius which co-stars Miranda Cosgrove.

Mit seinem Nachnamen ist ein Witz verknüpft, aber wir sind zu reif, um diesen zu reißen. Nein, sind wir nicht, aber wir werden der Versuchung widerstehen. Severide wird sich zum Ende der Staffel hin ziemlich in der Klemme wiederfinden. Wir sprechen hier von der gefängnisartigen Klemme. Und natürlich ist darin eine Frau verwickelt. So ist es immer. Aber bevor Du beginnst, schlimme Dinge über deine „TV Liebe des Lebens“ zu denken solltest du wissen, dass diese Frau in diesem Szenario – in Ermangelung eines besseren Begriffs - der Bösewicht ist.

There is a joke in there involving his last name, but we are too mature to make it. Nah, we're totally not, but we will still resist the temptation. Severide is going to find himself in quite the pickle near the end of the season. We're talking a jail-type pickle. And of course there's a women involved. There always is. But before you start thinking awful things about the "TV love of your life," you should know that the woman in this scenario is the bad guy, for lack of a better term.

Finale date for Chicago Fire announced

NBC hat gestern bekannt gegeben, wann die Staffelfinale für u.a. Chicago Fire (am 15. Mai 2013) stattfinden.

NBC have just announced the season finale dates for their winter lineup – including Community, Revolution and the unexpectedly brilliant Chicago Fire. This covers sitcoms Whitney and 1600 Penn wrapping up in March, through to finales for The Vioice and Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal in June.

Press release 1x20 "Ambition"

Mills' Drang, es ins Squad zu schaffen, erzeugt Reibungen innerhalb der Feuerwache – Mills (Charlie Barnett) findet sich selbst als Ziel von von Unmut einiger Kollegen gegenüber, als Severide (Taylor Kinne) seinen Wunsch, dem Squad beizutreten, unterstützt. Tara (Gaststar Brooke Nevin) eine Sanitätskandidatin, kommt für einige Einsätze zu Dawson (Monica Raymund) und Shay (Lauren German). In der Zwischenzeit kommt Shay Cindy Herrmann (Gaststar Robyn Coffin) zu Hilfe, die an Schwangerschaftskomplikationen leidet, während ihr Ehemann Christopher (David Eigenberg) nicht in der Stadt ist. Anderswo kommen sich Dawson und Casey (Jesse Spencer) näher, als die große Eröffnung des Molly's näher rückt und Casey erhält einen überraschenden Besuch. Eamonn Walker spielt ebenfalls mit.

Die Episode zeigt Severide die Entscheidung treffend, Mills auf die Überholspur zu bringen, von Truck zu Squad umzusteigen. Jedoch sind nicht alle von diesem Zug angetan.

In der Zwischenzeit wachsen allmählich die Spannungen zwischen Severide und Casey wegen Heather Darden.

Shay und Dawson sind gezwungen, mit dem verrückten Verhaltens eines Junkies umzugehen, während sie auf Abruf sind und Shay zieht einen anderen Weg, eine Familie zu haben, in Betracht.

Anderswo zieht das Team die Wut eines ansässigen Drogendealers auf sich, der den Frieden und die Sicherheit der Nachbarschaft und der Feuerwache bedroht.

Chicago Fire’s March 27 episode “A Coffin that Small” sees tragedy strike when ‘a rescue attempt at a tenement building proves unsuccessful, leaving the men and women of firehouse 51 affected by the loss of the victim,’ according to a new press release for the episode.

The episode will see Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) making a decision to put Mills (Charlie Barnett) on the fast track to move from Truck to Squad. However the move doesn’t sit well with some of the others.

Meanwhile tension mounts between Severide and Casey (Jesse Spencer) over Heather Darden (guest star Chaon Cross).

Shay (Lauren German), and Dawson (Monica Raymund) are forced to deal with a junkie’s crazy behavior while on a call and Shay considers a different way to have a family.

Elsewhere, the team draws the ire of local drug dealers who threaten the peace and safety of the neighborhood and firehouse.

Eamonn Walker and David Eigenberg also star.
